a person sitting on the hospital

Welp. I had big plans for writing and sharing video content in 2026. As usual my health got in the way.

I got into a BC clinic for complex chronic diseases. I’ve been in crash mode during Active Rest Therapy, new meds, and a 16 week program for fibromyalgia (chronic pain) and myalgia encephalomyelitis (chronic fatigue syndrome). Turns out I also have MCAS and POTS.

Now that my doctors and specialists are NOT treating my symptoms as anxiety/depression, I’m actually starting to feel better. A bit overwhelmed with all the new daily coping tools I’m adding to my self-care toolbox. But coping better with pain and fatigue also helps me cope with my tinnitus and hyperacusis.

I’m hoping to regularly share some stories and tinnitus hyperacusis toolbox content soon.

In the meantime, check out my content on YouTube at Tinnitus Hyperacusis Toolbox or Messed up Storytime.

Thanks for your patience.

Quiet cheers, Jan Mayes
